Ingredients

  • 3 large ripe pears, peeled and diced
  • 1 Tbs. sugar
  • 1½ Tbs. butter
  • 1 loaf cinnamon-raisin bread, sliced
  • ½ cup grated semisweet chocolate
  • 2½ cups prepared eggnog
  • 4 large eggs

Instructions

  • In pan over medium heat, cook pears and sugar in butter 10 min. Let cool. In casserole dish, alternate layers of bread, pears and chocolate.
  • In bowl, whisk nog and eggs; reserve ½ cup, then pour the rest over bread. Chill 1 hr. or overnight.
  • Heat oven to 350°F. Pour on reserved eggnog. Bake 1½ hrs. on baking sheet. Garnish as desired.
